Penni
McLaren Walker
This album recorded in 1996 was the second album
on the 101 label. It is true to say that the time and effort
gone into this production truley shows, with superb session
musicians and high production values. Unfortunately we have
no idea where Penni is these days or whether she is in fact
still playing, so if you know the where abouts and her activities
that would be really good hear so that we may be able to update
this information and provide a link to her.

Reviews:
'Much loving care has plainly gone into the
production of this CD. I liked it a lot. If you want to know
what the
new generation of folk singer/songwriters are about, give
this a hearing'. - Buzz'
For the most part, the arrangements are pure
folk-revival: open-tuned guitar, fiddle, mandolins, with perhaps
bass line. Some, like "Ship of Fools," have a sportier,
bongo-driven pop sound touched with folk fiddling. In all
it's quite anenchanting recording and a good introduction
to a real talent'. -Dirty Linen USA
