Bloodshot Rollin' Red

An acoustic three piece blues band. Beautifully played and produced, we recorded this album in 1996 and sadly Russ Williams on the harp has since died and the band are no more.

But that doesn't stop it from being said that this 12 track CD is perhaps one of the best albums 101 have produced. Combining a mixture of Parry's self penned material and songs from the likes of Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, Tampa Red, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Barbecue Bob and Blind Willie McTell, Russ (the Fox) Williams' harp playing and C.D Lambert's (Canada Col) slide guitars make it a brilliant listen from start to finish . Highley Recommended.

Reviews:

Parry is a distinctive enough vocalist to assimilate the influences without letting them dominate....Recommended as an example of top-notch UK folk/blues crossover".
- John O'Regan, ROCK'N' REEL

Very pleasant...I consider this CD worthy of investigation by country blues fans"
- Michael Prince,
BLUEPRINT.

There is a nice mix of old and new and the recording quality is very good. I also liked the graphics and sleeve notes; far more professional than some of the stuff you get on major labels". Pete Johnson, JAZZ FM
